Biography

I am a privately practicing neurologist specializing in stroke and headache treatment. I am also an attending physician at Alexandria Hospital where I formerly served as Chairman of the Clinical Effectiveness Team for Stroke.

I received my medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY, in 1997 and completed a medical internship and then neurology residency at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. I am a member of the AOA Medical Honor Society, the American Stroke Association, board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), and certified for TCD and Carotid Duplex by the ASN.

Before attending medical school, I received my bachelor's degree in biology and psychology from Washington University in St. Louis in 1990. I was a graduate student at Johns Hopkins Cognitive Science Department in Baltimore from 1990 till 1991 and then worked at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke in Bethesda, MD.
